At the Southern end of Moore Park in Sydney. Just next to the golf driving range there is a rather large hill, known as "Steel Mountain". This hill is actually made almost entirely of garbage, since this bit of Moore Park used to be a garbage dump which, once it was filled, was covered over with dirt and trees and stuff. Its quite hard to imagine how much garbage would be required to make a hill this size, especially when you consider that the garbage would also go down a long way past normal ground level since the dump would have started life as a large hole.
